The fundraising committee plans all fundraisers for PRSSA at CMU. New and creative ways to raise funds to support our chapter are the name of the game in this committee. There are opportunities for members who would like to gain experience with fundraising, event planning and budgeting in this committee. Members will successfully learn how to organize fundraising events, write sponsorship and donation letters, budget plan and create fundraiser flyers. The professional development committee will meet Sunday nights at 8 p.m. in the Down Under Food Court. This committee discusses and organizes agency tours, workshops, speakers and conferences for PRSSA at CMU chapter members. This semester, the social committee will meet Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. This committee seeks to create fun and unique socials for our members to network in a casual setting. The annual spring banquet is a great opportunity for event planning experience in this committee as well. For more information contact Member Services Director Amy Crockett at crock1an@cmich.edu.
The publications committee will be working with PR Central on some of their smaller projects as well as doing writing for the chapter newsletter, Central PRemier. Committee meeting day and time to be announced. For more information contact Promotions Director Kamaria Thornton at thorn1k@cmich.edu.
